The Port of Rotterdam wishes to improve its image. It has invited West 8, MVRDV, HNS, Mecanoo, Maxwan en Ronald Rietveld Landschapsarchitectuur to formulate a vision for the aesthetic quality and the public image of the port.

Our design of the outer contour of Maasvlakte 2 invites unexpected and quasi-unprogrammed types of recreational use. Driving on top of it, this contour offers a continous experience of the Netherland’s new Land’s End.
